Restaurant Review: The Signature Room at The 95th
Neighborhood: [near] Magnificent Mile
If you're visiting Chicago anytime soon - or a Chicago resident, for that matter - do yourself a favor and stop by The Signature Room at the 95th. The Signature Room is a swanky restaurant nestled right on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building just north of downtown Chicago. While a full course meal become pretty pricey, I'd even suggest just stopping by for drinks and an appetizer to take in the breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline - apparently the women's restroom has the best views in the whole place. The decor around the restaurant and lounge highlight notable moments in Chicago's history - making the whole experience very true to Chitown.
For my main course, I decided on the Seafood Risotto after much debate and I did not regret my decision. The scallops were the ideal amount of buttery and provided a rich flavor profile. It was almost hard to finish my entree after the appetizers, but I was determined to see it through. All in all, the entire meal was top notch and I left feeling very satisfied.
