Restaurant Review: Glenn's Diner
If I've said it once, I've said it 1,000 times - I LOVE BRUNCH. Luckily, Chicago is a city that takes brunch just as seriously as I do.This weekend, I stopped into Glenn's Diner in Ravenswood for a late Sunday Brunch. Although Glenn's is known for being a seafood house, their breakfast menu is also top notch. Glenn's is a quaint, little restaurant boasting only about 10-15 tables total - I definitely recommend that you make a reservation - that's located very conveniently just steps off of the Brown Line.
Glenn's breakfast claim to fame is their infamous cereal wall featuring only the best in cereal options - ranging from Cap 'N Crunch to Froot Loops to Cheerios. For $4.99 you get up to 3 bowls of cereal [1 bowl & 2 refills] and a chilled bowl served with really cold milk to complete the package. Although I didn't get the cereal bowl on my recent trip, I will absolutely be back to give it a shot!
Our reservation was at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, which is a pivotal time in the breakfast vs. lunch debacle - our party collectively went the breakfast route since Glenn's serves breakfast ALLLLL day. One more point for Glenn's diner.
and my choice of toast. I surprised myself by cleaning my entire plate, which was a feat in itself.
